Mobile Mini to provide storage, office units for Habitat for Humanity

AMERICUS, Ga. (Oct. 25, 2005) – Mobile Mini, Inc. (NASDAQ:MINI) of Tempe, AZ, has agreed to provide up to 330 of its mobile storage containers fee-free to Habitat for Humanity International affiliates, at an annual rental value in excess of $500,000. Mobile Mini has also agreed to provide Habitat affiliates deep discounts on its mobile and security office units.

Around the country, Habitat affiliates use the containers to store materials and building supplies in advance of builds, and Habitat’s international headquarters has used the mobile office units as offices and rest quarters during major events such as the annual Jimmy Carter Work Project.

“This partnership with Mobile Mini ensures that affiliates have safe, secure storage space, and onsite space support,” said Scott Anderson, senior director of corporate programs for Habitat for Humanity International. “Affiliates can use these on blitz builds (faster than traditional builds, where homes are typically completed in one to four weeks), and in longer term projects where they need to be able to secure materials or, in the case of a multi-home project, where they might need some onsite office space.”

‘This partnership benefits Habitat at both the local affiliate and national organization levels,” he added. “In particular, the need for portable storage in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita is especially critical as we work with our local affiliates in the affected Gulf Coast states and begin large scale rebuilding.”

The units typically rent for about $115 a month plus transportation costs, so the partnership is significant, said Mark Crozet, Habitat’s resource development senior vice president.

Steven Bunger, Chairman, President & CEO of Mobile Mini noted, “We have made a long term, corporate commitment to this very worthwhile non-profit organization. By pledging storage units in many of the markets where we have branches and encouraging Mobile Mini employees to participate in the builds, we hope to make a real difference in communities served by Mobile Mini across the country. Teamwork, which is at the heart of Habitat’s mission, is a value we share. Our partnership with Habitat is just taking shape but over time, we envision expanding the relationship as we grow in terms of volume, branches and staff.”
