Air Operated Diaphragm Pump

The Air Operated Diaphragm (AOD) Pump allows you to vary flow and discharge pressure up to 125 psi with a simple adjustment of air supply. This one pump can be used for numerous applications, eliminating the need for expensive motor drives and critical sizing calculations. The AOD Pump can even pass large, shear-sensitive solids without degradation or heat buildup transferred to the pump medium. It can run dry without damage to the pump, and can operate with “on demand systems,” without expensive pressure relief and bypass accessories. It’s also capable of pumping as slow as 1 gallon per minute, and will not froth or separate medium. 

Uses:

  • Manufacturing processes where the exhaust fumes from diesel pumps may not be acceptable, such as in large warehouses or manufacturing buildings
  • Mining operations where dewatering is required either above or even below ground, such as in a quarry
  • Applications where external compressor air line is readily available that is at the same or higher pressure than the pumped fluid
  • Refinery applications that deal with corrosive chemicals, viscous fluids, or slurry
  • Glycol transfer in the oil and gas industry or for winter application in airports
  • Transfer of inks and resins in the pump and paper applications
